Niagara Falls residents Jill and Gary Taylor’s extraordinary efforts on behalf of others have touched the lives of thousands. A below-the knee amputee with a history of heart trouble, Gary and his wife Jill have served as fundraisers and tireless volunteers for numerous community organizations, serving both the disabled community and others. Their combined past experiences and involvement with organizations such as Tender Wishes, Ontario March of Dimes, Canadian Paraplegic Association as well as the Multiple Sclerosis Society enables them to understand and appreciate the needs of their clients.
The Taylor’s operate For The Needy ~ Not The Greedy collecting, repairing and distributing used mobility aids and assistive devices to people in need. “It’s a great feeling,” says Gary. “I’ve never cried so much in my life as I have in the last few years.” This successful program improves the lives of many, and keeps perfectly usable equipment out of our landfills.
